Description

This table was created from a truly magnificent slab of extremely spalted Silver Maple. It has curly fiddleback figure throughout (as seen by the banding in photos).  The sides of the wood were coated in a metallic black paint before being encased in cloudy black resin.

The legs are a single custom designed semi-box frame, powder coated in matte black with a soft sandpaper texture.

Finished with 8 coats of Osmo Polyx hardwax oil for a food safe, non-toxic, scratch/acid/water/stain resistant finish that is easy to maintain and repair.

Special Features

Extreme Spalting throughout. Fiddleback curl (chatoyancy) throughout the length of table. Also multiple crotch/compression points, some wavy figure. Bevelled above and below.
